LASS X80 has won the Captain’s Cup for an unprecedented 6th consecutive year.   John Tremlett, Ian Andrew and Richard Bullock had 4 first placed race wins during Cowes Week, a 4th, 7th and 9th, discarding a 15th place to win the Cup overall, ahead of Class Captain James Meaning’s GLEAM X156 in second place and past Captain’s Cup winner Alastair Ashford in FOXGLOVE X174 in third place overall out of a fleet of 49 boats.  It was a challenging week of winds of all strengths and directions, which often changed frequently during the racing itself.

A fortnight earlier, LASS also won Cowes Classics Week 2018 by one point over CLAIR DE LUNE X33, sailed by 20 year old Max Crowe, and the Class Captain again achieved a podium place in GLEAM finishing third overall in a generally light wind week.
