Solent Racing Mark 4E has been renamed Mike Till to commemorate our late Class Captain. The mark 4E was formerly RYS and is situated north of the Bramble Post between West Knoll and East Knoll.
Mike would have raced many times round 4E, so it is fitting that this mark in the central Solent area is named after him. He will now be with us in the XOD Class and watching all of us in the fleet as we race around the Solent.
Mark 44, by the Lee-on-Solent shore, that was named Champagne Pol Roger, is now re-named Royal Yacht Squadron.
The XOD Class is privileged to now have two Solent Racing marks named after past XOD Class Captains: 4R Darling Buoy by the Hillhead shore, named for John Harding, and now 4E Mike Till by the Bramble Bank.
